Shared Dashboards
Share a read-only view of your analytics with anyone — no Abner account required.
Overview
Shared dashboards let you give clients, stakeholders, or the public access to your analytics data through a unique URL. Viewers can browse all dashboard data but cannot modify settings or access other sites in your workspace.
Creating a shared dashboard
- Go to Site Settings for the site you want to share.
- Click the "Shared Dashboards" section.
- Click "Create shared link".
- Choose a sharing mode (see below) and save.
- Copy the unique URL and share it with your audience.
Sharing modes
Each shared dashboard can be configured with one of three access modes:
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Public | Anyone with the link can view the dashboard. No authentication required. |
| Password-protected | Visitors must enter a password before they can view the dashboard. |
| Disabled | The shared link exists but is not accessible. Useful for temporarily revoking access without deleting the link. |
Multiple shared links
You can create multiple shared links for the same site. This is useful when you need separate links for different audiences — for example, a password-protected link for a client and a public link for your website's stats page.
What viewers can see
Viewers of a shared dashboard see the same data as logged-in users: the traffic chart, overview metrics, top pages, referrers, locations, devices, and all other report tables. They can change the date range and apply filters, but they cannot access site settings, billing, or any other site in your workspace.
Deleting or deactivating a shared link
You can delete a shared link at any time from Site Settings. Once deleted, the URL stops working immediately. Alternatively, set the mode to Disabled to temporarily revoke access while keeping the link configuration intact.
